I have something that might help you to create this world for yourself. Allow me to tell you a bit of my story first.
Seventeen years ago, I was so depressed I could barely function. I had all the ingredients that life tells you creates happiness, and yet I felt none. I just felt numbed out, broken, and empty. "There has to be a better way," I thought. "Life has to be more fulfilling than this!" I committed to a daily meditation practice, not even knowing how to meditate! I just felt that there was something there, something I was to learn and know. I had tried to meditate in the past, based on Eastern meditation techniques, and they all felt like an adult version of quiet time to me. I didn't understand the allure of meditation. So, I decided to just be grateful for a few minutes every morning, to read some inspiring texts, and to journal. I called that my meditation practice.
Two weeks into my practice, while in my daily gratitude prayer, I felt this sense of warmth and energy flood my body. I felt at peace. I paused to drink that in.... it had been so long since I had felt that way! In that singular pause, that rest-note, Life/God was able to penetrate my mind... & something so utterly beautiful happened: I fell into timelessness. I ceased to be. I was everything and nothing. There was no longer suffering or pain, there was just pure peace and space and love. I was so in awe! What felt like an hour later, my mind kicked in and thought, "OOOOOOOH THIS IS MEDITATION!!!!" As soon as I had that thought, I popped out of that space and back into Julie-ness. Turns out it had only been 3 minutes. That 3 minutes changed my entire life.
I ended up meditating daily for a year straight, learning how to return to that space, exploring it, and watching as alllll my human-ness came up for review (as I was finally listening!). I was angry. I was sad. I was confused about my purpose. I was in pain over my relationship. I did not feel right about pushing thoughts away in meditation, instead, I wanted to use that space to work it all out... to really see what was going on! I was taught how to hold my human-ness, how to love it, how to learn from it... and how to simultaneously know that I am NOT that. I was taught the truth of my nature, and developed an unshakeable sense of being loved, held, and guided.

Meditation has been a core foundational practice for me for most of my adult life. I share this practice with every client, and in every course I offer. It accomplishes more than 10 years of therapy, or more than a library of self-help books. Everything you are seeking from the outside world, is found first within! When you access that state of abundance, of joy, of love from the inside, it cannot be taken away from you... rather it informs you, it re-wires years of false beliefs, it fills you up, and eventually it out-pictures as your very life.
